LBA Capital Advisors

About

About LBA

LBA Capital Advisors is a private equity firm headquartered in Los Angeles, California. We make control investments in lower middle-market companies at moments of transition: corporate carve-outs, successions, restructurings, and other special situations. Our partners have executed this strategy consistently for two decades, completing nine transactions across industrials, aerospace and defense, and business services.

Investment Philosophy

Value Is Built, Not Engineered

We believe enduring value is created by improving businesses, not by financial engineering. We invest where complexity obscures fundamental quality, entering at disciplined valuations with structured downside protection, and we earn our returns through margin improvement, growth, and strategic development. We focus on non-cyclical markets, mission-critical products and services, and businesses with real assets and real customers.

Operating Approach

Partners, Not Spectators

LBA invests as an embedded partner. Our team of former operators works alongside management to institutionalize processes, strengthen leadership, drive product innovation, and instill cost and execution discipline. We set direction and remove obstacles so management teams can do their best work, with clear governance and an aligned plan for value creation.

Core Values

Partnership.

We succeed with management teams, never around them.

Discipline.

Rigorous underwriting, patient capital, and consistent execution.

Integrity.

We do what we say, in diligence, in ownership, and at exit.

Accountability.

Clear plans, measured results, and direct communication.

Firm History

A Consistent Strategy Since 2005

LBA's investment strategy was established in 2005 focusing on control investments in special situations across resilient industrial sectors. The firm, as it stands today, was founded in 2012 as the continuation of the strategy, and its partners have invested together for nine years, leveraging long-standing relationships across key industries and the U.S. government.
